OC Comments on Endangered and Threatened Species: 5-year Review for Southern Resident killer whales | NOAA-NMFS-2021-0029

The Endangered Species Act (ESA) by law, requires five-year reviews to determine whether a species is recovering or remains at risk of extinction.

Therefore, based on Governor Inslee's Orca Task Force recommendations, Orca Conservancy included questions in our comment letter.

While NOAA/NMFS is a federal agency, our questions are an inquiry to establish a measurement on how NOAA/NMFS choses to collaborate with appropriate local governments, state, federal agencies, and tribal governments towards conducting the immediate actions listed in said Executive Order.
