Big Soos Creek Salmon Habitat Restoration

  • 15583 Southeast 283rd Place Covington, WA, 98042 United States (map)

It’s finally time to start planting! Get your hands dirty by helping plant native trees and shrubs.

Salmon are critical prey for Southern Resident killer whales, and by planting trees and shrubs along vital watersheds we are helping to create healthy riparian forests which salmon need for survival. Healthy riparian forests control erosion of river banks, shade waters keeping them cool for young salmon, and host insects that salmon need early in life for prey.

Join Orca Conservancy along with our partner the Green River Coalition in helping the endangered Southern Resident killer whales by restoring critical salmon habitat.
